RANGER SOCCER REPORT - November, 2018

Rangers Close Season with Playoff Loss

The 2018 season was one of progress for the program when you consider the young make up of the roster, the record in 2017 and how the team played over the course of 16 matches.

"There were many teams that didn't qualify for the playoffs, so overall, I'm proud of what this group did.  They had to really work on developing chemistry as a team to achieve some of the goals that they created in the beginning.  I was proud of how they took on some very good teams and with a few exceptions, held their own.  They'll grow from this, and I know that the players we graduate will go off and do great things, and appreciate what they were able to do this year." Coach Barkey told a reporter after the loss to Thomas Jefferson.

"We return a really strong line up next year, and our improvement in terms of how we played as a group was massive in one season.  We played much better defensively than before, and we created more chances than before.  I'd say we have quite a bit to look forward to."

SNAP RAISE A SUCCESS

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS YEAR'S SNAP-RAISE.

This is our chosen fund-raiser because it is the least time intensive on players and families.  We don't ask our players to go door to door selling anything and we certainly don't punish anyone who doesn't participate.

We will be participating again in 2018.

These funds are used to replace and maintain field equipment, team gear and for our annual banquet.

Our training begins officially

in August, 2019.

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE PLAYERS TO COMPLETE PAPERWORK BETWEEN JUNE AND JULY SO THAT IT CAN BE TURNED IN ON AUGUST 1, 2019.
